Probably not. But it seems that anxiety does indeed predict Parkinson’s Disease. Will that observation make us even more anxious? As to whether or not the relationship is causal or just an association, researchers say, “A possible explanation for the association between anxiety and PD is that unrecognized symptoms of PD may lead to anxiety.” That makes sense.

Still waiting for info on possible connection of Lyme disease and PD
I personally DO think it is ‘a’ cause of Parkinson’s amongst other factors probably. Almost 70% of people with parkinson’s have anxiety and in many cases, the anxiety pre-dates the parkinson’s.
My mother has it and has had tremendous anxiety for decades. She’s kind of mental. I believe her crazy behavior gave her parkinson’s, but she insists it’s not that.
